The Midas touch
Midas managing director, Alan Rance, says the company has seen solid growth in all areas of the business over the last 12 months
To meet growing demand Bedford-based Midas Pattern Company has doubled the size of its assembly area, upgraded its spray booth facilities, and completely re-equipped its CAD department.
The company, which specialises in the manufacture and assembly of large, high quality, low volume polyurethane moulded enclosures has also increased overall staff numbers by 20% since the beginning of the year.
Managing director, Alan Rance, said: “We’ve seen solid growth in all areas of the business over the last 12 months. This has enabled us to increase investment, not only in the infrastructure of the company - with building upgrades and new equipment, but also to up-skill our existing staff, for example with Delcam Powershape training, alongside recruitment and training of the new personnel.
“This time it seems the media has got it right. If Midas’ current experience is anything to go by, UK manufacturing really is leading the economic recovery.”
