Splashing out on the garden
Within a matter of weeks of receiving the client’s data, ARRK had provided components that were ready to be used and featured in Hozelock’s TV commercial
ARRK was delighted when leading gardening products manufacturer, Hozelock, asked it to provide prototypes for this summer’s gardening must-have, a new automatic rewind, wall-mounted hose reel system.
Using ARRK’s wide range of prototyping processes and materials to provide the best combination of aesthetics and functionality, ARRK was quickly able to provide a suite of prototype parts tailored to their needs.
With a requirement for 24 different parts, ARRK’s team of skilled engineers and model makers produced a range of components from CNC machined and fabricated ABS and selective laser sintered nylon. Parts were painted and colour matched in accordance with Hozelock‘s corporate colours.
To meet the customer’s tight delivery requirements, ARRK’s project management team in Gloucester also made use of ARRK facilities overseas to ensure work continued on the project during the Christmas holidays.
Within a matter of weeks of receiving the client’s data, ARRK had provided components that were ready to be used and featured in Hozelock’s TV commercial, which is set to be aired in the UK later this summer. Senior Designer for the product, Shoji Sinclair, was delighted with the results, along with fellow Design Engineer, Oliver Hyde, and Project Manager, Robert Boughton.
