Exhibitors are up for the Farnborough International Airshow 2012

Farnborough International Ltd (FIL) has announced that exhibitor bookings are up for the airshow next year – a good indicator of buoyancy in the sector.

The news comes as the deadline to book space at the exhibition approaches. Not only are sales up, but many companies are choosing to upscale the size of their presence at the show next year.

This will come as welcome news to the aerospace and defence sector.

FIL chief executive, Shaun Ormrod, said: “Farnborough International Airshow clients undoubtedly recognise the show as an important part of their company marketing strategy. As organisers we strive to deliver a robust, value for money event which continues to develop and responds to industry demands and trends.”

Mr Ormrod continued: “We have also recently experienced a surge of interest from the emerging economies of the BRIC countries and are currently working closely with them on a partnership level to maximise their FIA involvement".

The show will once again incorporate a trade show and a public air display and will take between 9-15th July 2012.
