Bespoke Ginetta race car parts
The 900 laser cut plates will form part of the structure of Ginetta’s G55 GT4 and G55 GT3 race cars
Full service sheet metalwork manufacturer, Malton Laser, has supplied Yorkshire-based racing car manufacturer, Ginetta, with a series of bespoke components that form part of its G40 and G55 sports cars.
The 900 laser cut plates will form part of the structure of Ginetta’s G55 GT4 and G55 GT3 race cars, which compete throughout the summer months in various championships.
Daniel Shaw, supply chain manager at Ginetta, said: “Having worked with Malton Laser for more than ten years, we know the team can manufacture high profile applications and perform in terms of cost, quality and delivery time-after-time.”
“The parts required for the G55’s are very specific and need to be made to a precise specification. The Malton Laser team not only has the expertise to manufacture these components in high volumes, but also to an unrivalled standard.
In addition to the cut plates, Malton has also created kits of parts to assist the vehicle’s revised suspension systems, all assembled in-house by its fabrication team.
Ginetta started working with Malton Laser in 2007 and regularly tasks the metalwork specialist with manufacturing a range of parts for its race cars, the majority of which are laser cut using the firm’s revolutionary Bystronic Bystar 3015 6KW machine.
This new technology has enabled the team to complete projects up to three-times faster than before, without compromising on the quality of the finished product.
Malton Laser specialises in providing a full sheet metalwork service, from laser cutting and pressing to fabricating, powder coating and assembly.
