MIDEST show back next month
MIDEST is now in its 42nd year
MIDEST, the international industrial subcontracting show, will be back for the 42nd time from 6 to 9 November 2012 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
This year’s show will be offering several new events and features – including an industrial IT village, a special focus on the automotive industry, a TV studio, and for the first time the staging of a United Nations International Development Organization (UNIDO) Subcontracting and Partnership Exchanges (SPXs).
MIDEST2012 aims to bring together more than 1700 exhibitors from thirty countries – French subcontractors will make up 60% of the exhibitors, meanwhile around 650 international companies are expected to attend the show.
The show will have a large focus on the automotive sector this year – which it says is the “major customer sector for subcontractors”. There will be an overview of the latest economic and technical developments through lectures and round table events involving major players in the industry.
Other sectors being represented this year include semi-finished products and machining, industry services, wood and the shaping and cutting of metals, plastics, rubber and composite materials - all of which have seen sector growth in the last year.
Surface finishing and treatment, forging-foundry, microtechniques and electronics – all of which have remained stable sover the last year also feature heavily on this year's agenda.
