Subcontractors on show at advanced engineering events
Exhibitor epm: technology already supplies composites to an unprecedented four F1 teams
Aero Engineering and Composites Engineering will showcase innovative UK subcontractors.at the NEC on September 29 and 30.
The UK’s aerospace industry is the second largest in the world, and independent market research now shows that the UK composites industry is worth around £2 billion per annum, and this figure is growing steadily year-on-year.
With material and process innovation continuing to gather momentum there was an increasing need within the industry for an event to bring together every link in the value supply chain, says organiser Leading Edge.
It says the Composites Engineering show fulfills that need and reflects the enormous UK-wide demand in composites design and manufacturing, from high volume consumer applications to high performance advanced engineered products.
“This event fills a void by providing a no-nonsense suppliers’ fair for these demanding market sectors, where buyers and sellers can meet and conduct business in a focused engineering environment that will allow new contacts to be nurtured, and also provide the opportunity for existing alliances to be strengthened,” says Ian Stone, managing director of Leading Edge.
Exhibits and technical presentations at the new Composites Engineering Show will cover all composites types, including fibre reinforced polymers, sandwich and cored structures, fibre metal laminates, metal matrix, ceramic matrix and carbon-carbon composites. The event showcases materials manufacturers and suppliers; design, analysis and simulation technologies; processors/processes and production technologies, including machining and tooling; suppliers of composite parts, components and structures; and composites maintenance engineering.
Exhibitors include:
